Study options for 2024

Now is the time to start thinking about your study options for 2024. Whether you are considering starting study or continuing with an existing programme.  Regardless of what programme you are considering or whether you are new or an experienced student, Theology House is here to advise and help you on the journey.  Our theological library and other resources are available for all. Courses that we will offer next year will be a mix of being available online and face to face. Some will have weekend courses.

Diploma of Christian Studies

In 2024 these papers will be on offer. Dates will be finalized in November 2023.

  •  MMF 505 Formed for Mission – 10 Credits
  • FHC 510 Church’s Story – 15 Credits

Theology House is proud to provide these courses to Anglicans in Canterbury, the West Coast and the Chatham Islands.  They are taught by faculty from St John’s College College in Auckland and there are no tuition fees for Anglican students. More details and dates will be added when they are available.

University of Otago Theology Programme

An extensive range of papers in Biblical Studies, Christian Thought and History, Ministry and Chaplaincy at undergraduate and postgraduate levels are available in semester 2. Visit the Otago site.

Laidlaw College

With a campus in Christchurch and a distance learning programme, there are plenty of options to engage in theological education including in streams such as youth work and pastoral leadership. Visit the Laidlaw site.

Carey Baptist College

Catering to a wide range of students (not just Baptists) from their campus in Auckland, Carey provides a distance learning programme for learners around the country.  Visit the Carey site.
