Book of Prayers in Common is a collection of contemporary prayers for the Christian year. Drawing on the classic form of the Church’s ancient collects while expressed in fresh, accessible language, these prayers are intended for use in public worship, personal devotion, and theological reflection.

Catholics, Anglicans, Episcopalians, and many others often pray the same prayer on the same day. Many of these prayers have been prayed for more than sixteen centuries. These shared prayers have been carefully re-expressed in contemporary language and gathered into this collection.
