Are you interested in diving deeper into Christian theology but unsure where to start?  Welcome to Theology After 5, a relaxed yet intellectually stimulating series designed for those who want to explore profound theological topics after their workday.  Jesus, John and the Trinity, begins on Thursday 23rd of July and continues weekly.  The course is open to anyone willing to engage in rigorous theological reflection. 

What Is Theology After 5? 

Theology After 5 is all about making rich theological discussions accessible to everyone. Whether you’re considering studying Theology formally or simply curious, this series provides an inviting space to explore key topics in Christian thought without barriers. Bring your questions, your curiosity, and your willingness to think deeply! 

Why “Jesus, John and the Trinity”? 

This course will focus on Christology, a central subject in Christian theology, and will offer a practical and helpful approach to the doctrine of the Trinity.  We will start with John’s Gospel and, together, we’ll unpack questions like: Who is Jesus in the context of the Trinity?  How does the doctrine of the Trinity shape our understanding of God and the world?   

What’s Involved? 

The hope for our time together is to have great conversations, not a lecture.  This means you’ll need to spend 1-2 hours each week reading or watching video content before each session.  This “homework” is designed to be engaging and informative, providing the foundation for our lively in-person discussions and activities.  The more you prepare, the more you get out of it.

Weekly Sessions

– Start date: Thursday 23 of July, runs for 6 weeks.
– Schedule: July 23rd, July 30th, August 6th, August 13th, August 20th, August 27th
– Time: 6:30–8pm
– Location: Zoom
