People are often embarrassed to admit their library book is overdue. We’d like to think that we are respectful and appreciative when books are returned late. Recently an embarrassed person phoned about their overdue book ‘The Gospel according to St Luke’. They took it out before the earthquakes! The next week the book was returned. It’s a gem. It was published in 1904 and was signed by J Awdry Julius in 1905. The Very Rev J.A. Julius was the son of Bishop Julius. We’re thrilled to have this piece of history back in our library collection.
